Everywhere you look, there’s a Western.
From Cowboys & Indians magazine:
Coming soon to a theater or streaming platform near you: Traded, a gritty western drama starring Michael Paré, Kris Kristofferson and Trace Adkins. Filmed on locations in California and New Mexico, including Yucca Valley, Paramount Ranch and Big Sky Movie Ranch, the Cinedigm release also features Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down), Martin Kove (the Karate Kid trilogy), Quinton Aaron (The Blind Side) and, in her theatrical debut, Kris’ daughter, Kelly Kristofferson.
The official plot synopsis: “In 1880s Kansas, sharpshooter turned rancher Clay Travis (Paré) goes from happily married father of two to a man on a mission after the disappearance of his 17 year-old daughter, Lily. Determined to protect what little family he has left, Clay leaves his quiet ranch and heads to Wichita where, after confronting the ruthless Ty Stover (Adkins), he discovers that Lily’s been traded away into an underground sex ring in Dodge City. And it’s there, with the help of an unlikely companion — hardened old barkeep Billy (Kristofferson) — that Clay makes a stand to bring his daughter home, leaving a trail of gunsmoke and bodies in his wake.”
Looks like a bit of the old hardboiled. Got Tom Sizemore in it, too. He lends an edge of nastiness to whatever he’s in.
I’ll watch it for Kris.

Looks great. Count me in.

I’ll watch it for Kris myself. I’ve always been a fan. Also, I’m interested in the portrayal of the Kansas locale. In Chanute (30mi north of me) there were more saloons and brothels than there were residential structures back around 1875.

Kris is giving Keith Richards a run for his money in the competition for best Weathered Old Rocker Badass title.

Watched Kristofferson and Dylan as well as Slim Pickens { So great a character actor} and James Coburn in a London theatre in 73. Get out Partisans before life gets in the way. Knock Knock Knocking on Heavens door.
