Red Dead Redemption

More than one person has told me I’m really missing something by not experiencing Red Dead Redemption — and I believe ’em. Its setting is right in my wheelhouse: the American West and Mexican border country closing in on the turn of the 20th century. And I sense its greatness because of the magnificent, mood-setting, Spaghetti Western-influenced soundtrack, which I listen to while I work on a regular basis.

The graphics ain’t bad either…

So, it seems like it oughta be very good news that a sequel has been announced by creator, Rockstar Games.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.

An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

Watch the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer at 11AM Eastern on Thursday, October 20th here on Facebook, at rockstargames.com, as well at the official Rockstar Games YouTube and Twitch pages.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2.

The world of gaming is wild, uncharted territory for me, and I’m not sure I’ll ever venture there. But if I do, the first place I’ll head for is the wild West of Red Dead Redemption.

I used to play video games when I was younger, but I stopped. I would invariably get stuck half way through or otherwise loose interest. I prefer to spend my time and money elsewhere.

Red Dead always looked interesting, though.
