It is an antidote to the spread of ludicrous concepts like microagressions (defined thus by the University of California: “Microaggressions are the everyday verbal, nonverbal, and environmental slights, snubs, or insults, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative messages to target persons based solely upon their marginalized group membership”).
It is also a treatment for the broader ailment of victimology: “The possession of an outlook, arising from real or imagined victimization, that seems to glorify and indulge the state of being a victim.”
Like the man said: “Stand it like a man. And give some back.”

Man-oh-man, that’s one that I should memorize for future use. It would come in handy, usually several times a week. The slap would be most gratifying, too, but probably misconstrued as bullying, rather than simple illustration of a point.
My silly sense immediately morphed Peanuts’ Lucy “The Doctor Is In” spots with Al in the booth.

I sure hope that this doesn’t progress to included “Nanoaggressions” where one thinks about the possibility of thinking something negative about someone else, somewhere.

A psychiatrist said the same thing about “dysfunctional families.” You are responsible for your own fate. If you grew up in a dysfunctional family, don’t walk around blaming everything on that. Get over it and get going.
