We’re on roll a here. The rise of cable television has created a fantastic niche for Frontier Partisan-related storytelling, both historical and contemporary.
I missed this news when it broke: The graphic novel series “Scalped” has been picked up for a cable series. “Scalped” blew me away when I picked it up from the library several years ago. Set on the fictional Prairie Rose Reservation — an obvious analog for Pine Ridge — it is as dark as noir gets, a crime story with echoes of the Leonard Peltier case and deeper history of the Lakota.
Don Jung, of the “Banshee” creative team, will be at the helm. Perfect sensibility to bring to this project. This will NOT be for the squeamish or faint of heart, but dayam! it oughta be good.

Outstanding! If it’s half as good as Banshee it will be twice as good as 99% of the other dreck that populates TV.
