This from The Hollywood Reporter:
History Channel is setting up another miniseries with the team behind Hatfields & McCoys.
The cable network is developing a six-hour miniseries centered on the formation of law enforcement agency Texas Rangers in the 19th century, including the creation and annexation of Texas to the U.S., a source confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.
Hatfields & McCoys‘ Leslie Greif will serve as producer, with writer Ted Mann set to pen the script for the tentatively-titled Texas Rising.
The announcement comes after Hatfields & McCoys’ three-night miniseries event in late May drew huge ratings for History, drawing 13.9 million viewers for the first part and closing out with 14.3 million for part three. Hatfields & McCoys garnered five Emmy wins, including lead actor in a miniseries/movie for Kevin Costner and supporting actor in a miniseries/movie for Tom Berenger.
Cool!

I’d like to see this one too(I noticed used copies of the “Hatfields And McCoys” that were ALMOST affordable por moi–just a little longer…..) as I had a paternal Texas ancestor that did a stint as a Texas Ranger(which he apparently DID NOT enjoy!)–but then I had another that was an Outlaw, so we’uns covered both sides of the spectrum…..
