The Great Norfleet.

I’ve still got a hand in the Robert E. Howard blogosphere. Damon Sasser asked me for a frontier-oriented contribution to “REH: Two Gun Raconteur, The Definitive Robert E. Howard Journal.” Blogging about the Texas pulp writer, most famous for his creation of Conan of Cimmeria, and his connections to frontier lore set my moccasins on my current path, so of course I was happy to oblige.

The topic was generated by a reference Howard made in a letter to H. P. Lovecraft regarding “The Great Norfleet” a modern-day Texas gunman who was a living link to Texas’ recent frontier past. This was new territory for me, and I enjoyed the heck out of researching the tale, which is just as wild as can be.

Head on over to “Two Gun” and check it out.
