If you’ve got some time Thursday evening, avail yourself of this opportunity:
I’m honored to have Lynda Sanchez as a reader here — she’s an ace scholar of the borderlands history of the desert Southwest and Northern Mexico. Her investigation into the fate of the Apache Kid is, as far as I’m concerned, definitive, almost certainly the closest we’ll come to an answer to an old desert mystery.
I am desperately hopeful that a recording will be available of this event, because I have a command-performance XMAS party to attend at that time and date.

Jim Many thanks for posting this program. I appreciate your kind words and will try my best to do a good job and to answer all questions. And, of course, I enjoy your splendid blog. I also forwarded the notation to the Exec. Director of the Old Pueblo Archaeology Center, Al Dart. He now knows about your fine blog as well.
Best regards and Feliz Navidad to everyone of your readers.

I am very excited about this program. Thank-you Lynda for your work keeping their stories alive and relevant! Also much gratitude for the work of Ms. Ball. First hand accounts pass with each generation. I believe you were blessed to have worked with her.

I’m looking forward to this. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Looking forward to it. Just as a matter of housekeeping-the link in the story didn’t work so I just Googled “Old Pueblo Third Thursday” and found it that way.
David Wrolson says
Really enjoyed it. I assume that you will be able to listen to it. I think my favorite part was when the Apache warrior told her (Eve Ball) that she should come to Indian heaven when she dies and that they could raid white man heaven for books for her to read.
JimC says
OK, I love that.

David, Jim, Michael and Jerry: thank you for your interest and support. I understand the tape is being edited and will be posted on their website. Or you can write to Al Dart at
adart@Old Pueblo.org to find out more info, and really they have a good newsletter too.
Yes,I was blessed to have worked with Eve.
Zoom talks are not the best and I had some unique artifacts to show. One day when I get a helicopter I will be able to Zoom in to a site and give a talk and head back to my New Mexico sanctuary.
Feliz Navidad to all!
JimC says
Looking forward to catching up to this. And Feliz Navidad back at ya.
